Cyber ASEAN is a capacity building and development initiative that aims to advance Southeast Asia's proactive role in strengthening its overall cybersecurity and resiliency posture. Held with support from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the project’s goal is ambitious, seeking to develop Southeast Asia's cyber competency guided by the principles of pragmatism, community-building, and agency.
Throughout 2022-2023, Cyber ASEAN will embark on a region-wide consultation among key stakeholders in our pilot partner countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Viet Nam. As part of our broader effort to raise more public awareness on the growing economic and security impacts of cybersecurity in Southeast Asia, we also developed the Cyber ASEAN tracker—an interactive map showcasing the region's cybersecurity threat landscape.
Hopefully, actionable, and practical insights drawn from CYBER ASEAN will further catalyze collaborative policymaking and improved cyber capacity in Southeast Asia.
